The work initiated in 1993 has borne fruit and, through the unique expertise acquired, has made it possible to implement the evolution prepared over the past few years and adopted by the authorities in 2020.

In 2020, various actions have materialized this to change. Training, research and development activities and explant analysis were organized with the ophthalmology, orthopedic, hand, neurosurgery, digestive, urological and gynecological surgery teams of Professors BOURCIER, EHLINGER, LIVERNEAUX, PROUST, CEBULA, ROMAIN. Each of them has been very appreciated and has brought progress to our project.

This has created a unique and innovative center of clinical expertise associating all the specialties, combining the tools in each of the platforms developed within GEPROVAS and increasing the attractiveness of our territory for industrialists. Sixteen specialties of the University Hospitals of Strasbourg are associated with it.

The new name Gepromed emphasizes a strong link with history, gives visibility to medical devices and affirms the search for continuous improvement in patient care safety.

The local authorities have affirmed their willingness to support this development. European funds are also being sought. Various industrial partners and companies linked to the world of health are participating notably through the financing of equipment and participation in various activities.
