# Gepromed

> Gepromed is a non-profit research institute in Strasbourg, France, working at
> the intersection of medical device safety, surgical training and biomaterials
> research. Founded in 1993. ISO 9001 certified and Qualiopi accredited, the
> French quality standard required for a training provider to be publicly
> funded.

The site is published primarily in French; an English toggle exists in the
interface but does not currently have separate URLs, so the French page is the
canonical version of every path listed below.

Gepromed's work follows one implant cycle: training the surgeons who place a
device, engineering and evaluating devices, and analysing explanted devices
after removal to feed findings back into both.
